Tampa Avenue at Nordhoff, at the Northridge Fashion Center, mixes mall traffic with commuters turning across it. Devonshire Street at Reseda and at Balboa Boulevard, and the on- and off-ramps of the 118 freeway at Reseda and Tampa, are where the rear-end and left-turn collisions happen.
The residential streets between Nordhoff and Devonshire are where pedestrians and cyclists are hit: long, straight, and faster than they look. Slip and falls come from the supermarkets and parking lots along Nordhoff and Reseda, and from the apartment complexes south of the campus.
