Reseda’s crashes happen along the boulevard that gives it its name and the streets that cross it, east and west: Reseda Boulevard at Sherman Way, at Vanowen Street and at Victory Boulevard are the intersections that come up most, along with Tampa Avenue at Sherman Way and Saticoy Street. These are wide, fast, six-lane roads with long stretches between signals, and the collisions are rear-end and left-turn crashes at speed.
Pedestrians are hit crossing Sherman Way and Reseda Boulevard near the shops, and at the Orange Line station where Reseda Boulevard crosses the busway at Oxnard Street. Reseda Park at Victory and Reseda is where cyclists and walkers meet cars turning in and out. The apartment blocks along Reseda and Wilbur are the source of the slip and fall claims.
